HONOLULU – ProsPac Holdings Group yesterday marked the completion of Azure Ala Moana, its first residential building in Honolulu, with a traditional Hawaiian blessing. Starting today, homeowners will move into 330 condominium residences and 78 affordable rental apartments located on the corner of Keeaumoku and Makaloa Streets near Ala Moana Center. Azure Ala Moana is the first transit-oriented development (TOD) project approved under the City’s new ordinance.
“We set out to create a building with exceptional residences and amenities that enhance the community, and we are pleased to bring Azure Ala Moana to the heart of Honolulu,” said Rick Stack, executive vice president of ProsPac Holdings Group, LLC. “Together with our project team, we’ve delivered on our vision to contribute to positively transforming the neighborhood and look forward to welcoming residents, businesses and visitors alike to the building.”
Designed by award-winning Honolulu-based architect Design Partners Incorporated in collaboration with acclaimed interior designer HBA and leading landscape architecture firm PBR Hawaii, Azure Ala Moana is a 41-story mixed-use condominium building featuring spacious one-, two- and three-bedroom homes complemented by exceptional amenities: a resort-style pool and cabanas, barbeque areas, fitness center, club room and guest suites. Albert C. Kobayashi, Inc. (ACK), known for its expertise in constructing large-scale, mixed-use high-rise buildings, was the general contractor for the project.
“Ala Moana is one of the most diverse, active and established neighborhoods on O‘ahu with the opportunity to be a model for sustainable urban living,” said William Chen, assistant director, ProsPac Holdings Group, LCC. “It has been a privilege to build Azure Ala Moana to help this community get closer to reaching its full potential for the people who live and work in this city.”
In addition to new residences, Azure Ala Moana has over 20,000 square feet of commercial space and a public outdoor plaza. Azure Ala Moana features sustainable, environmentally-friendly design elements as a TOD project, including an expansive insulated and energy-efficient, low-e glass window system, energy-efficient appliances, LED lighting in common areas, and multi-modal transportation such as carshare, bikeshare, electric vehicle charging stations.
Azure Ala Moana broke ground in April 2019 and launched sales in September 2018. Currently, there is just one remaining two-bedroom residence available for sale.
