Founder Albert C. Kobayashi started his business as a single-family residential construction firm in 1944. He expanded the company’s services over the years to include larger residential communities, commercial projects, education and healthcare facilities, and hotels projects. In the ’60s and ’70s, Kobayashi’s three sons joined the company with one of them, Bert Kobayashi Sr., eventually taking helm as the president in 1984. A decade later, Russell Young became the company’s President in 1994 and now runs ACK alongside his son Michael Young who serves as Vice President.
